UK offshore wind is back but the hard part starts now

The UK has put offshore wind back on the map with a record 8.4GW awarded in Allocation Round 7, signalling a return to scale after two years of uncertainty. But behind the headline volumes, the real test now shifts from auction design to delivery, grid readiness and whether Clean Power 2030 can be met on time and at acceptable system cost.
