About the role

The Head of Business Development is a pivotal role, as it will help the business to accelerate our growth ambitions. User engagement plays a significant part in this role, in that you will be identifying new opportunities and building and fostering new relationships. You will also play a significant role in developing the product through your solution-based selling skills.

Based in London you will be heading up the inspiratia subscription team which drives revenue through new business, renewals, and cross selling our range of products.

About you

We are looking for a self-starter, who will build on our existing relationships while also identifying new opportunities. You will have the opportunity to thrive in the sales process – from prospecting to closing deals – to the challenges of winning new and cross-sell business and establishing new relationships within your territory.

The successful candidate needs to be highly results-driven and demonstrate strong commercial acumen with excellent proactive new business development skills, as well as the rigorous application of process - including active use of HubSpot. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong solution-based selling skills.

Main Responsibilities

• New business – Sourcing new opportunities and building your pipeline.

• Account growth – driving up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

• Smart sales acumen demonstrated via pipeline management, sales qualification, and CRM accuracy, for reporting purposes.

• Working across divisions – we have a dynamic team who work closely together and being able to deliver feedback and work alongside other areas within the business is critical.

Knowledge & Experience

Several disciplines are required to ensure its success, the candidate would ideally:

• Have a minimum of 5 years selling subscriptions in the Business intelligence industry.

• Have at least 2 years of experience managing and training juniors within subscription sales and account management.

• Have a proven commercial track record in increasing revenue from existing and new clients, ideally in a subscription-based business model.

• Be a self-motivated and energetic individual, a value-based negotiator, and a results-oriented

• Demonstrate good judgment in resource utilisation and optimisation.

• Be passionate about growing the business.

• Demonstrate a genuine interest in personal development & growth and be receptive to coaching.

• Have an intellectual curiosity about how data and analysis solve critical business issues.

• Show effective organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.

• Experience in using CRM systems such as HubSpot
