About the Event

Datacentres: Power, Risk & Resilience 2026 will explore the prospective rise of large-scale data centres as one of Europe’s most energy-intensive, demanding asset classes.

With the AI boom poised to restructure Europe’s energy landscape, our event gives the floor for experts in grid resilience, on-site generation and storage development, and data centre planning to discuss the most pressing questions facing the rollout:

  • The hyperscale investment case: fact, or over-promised fiction?
  • Understanding offtakes and on-site generation – establishing trust with ren developers and de-risking adoption. Do developers see these projects as opportunities? What barriers are preventing them from getting involved?
  • How can Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) be achieved with a blend of grid, on-site, and backup generation? How does the industry see these dedicated portfolios evolving?
  • What, realistically, is the likelihood that the first hyperscale data centres will be built solely with on-site renewables? What role do we expect fossil fuel generation to actually play? How will this vary across European nations as they push for data ‘sovereignty’, given their varied energy splits?
  • Datacentres and the return of nuclear: what role will conventional nuclear, SMRs, and – eventually – fission play in these developments?

Designed for senior decision makers, it provides a platform to share strategies, shape policy, and build partnerships that will define Europe’s digital and energy landscape.

Speaking opportunities and sponsorship opportunities are available for organisations looking to showcase leadership and engage with key stakeholders driving the energy transition.
