Amazon ups Spain data centre investments by €18bn – the global giant announced plans to invest a further €18 billion (£15.7bn $20.9bn) in Spain, bringing its total commitment within the country to €33.7 billion.

German AI data centre developer joins forces with renewables outfit for 120MW Bavaria facility – Polarise has entered into a partnership with WV Energie to pursue a 120MW AI data centre facility in Bavaria. Phased delivery will start with a 30MW initial capacity along with onshore wind and solar generation.
3i shells out €400m for over 65% stake in 37MW Norwegian data centre – UK-listed investor 3i, along with an unnamed LP paid €400 million for 66.67% stake in Lefdal Mine Data Centre in Norway. The new users will add 43MW to existing capacity.
£10bn AI data centre in the UK secures construction permit – North Lincolnshire Council approved construction plans for a 1GW data centre facility, which could represent an investment of over £10 billion. Plans for the megaproject may still be scuppered by tenuous grid connection prospects.
3.2GW data centre facility in works for Poland, phase 1 CapEx at PLN 32bn – WBS Power unveiled plans for a 3.2GW data centre in the northwestern energy hub of Poland. The phased delivery will include an initial capacity of 800MW corresponding to an €8 billion investment.

Mistral AI secures $830m for French data centre, NVIDIA GPUs & 7 banks on deal – BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, MUFG and Natixis, among others, arranged $830 million in debt to fund France’s Mistral AI’s NVIDIA data centre outside Paris. Competitive pricing but short tenor.
Dutch data centre outfit unveils plans for 310MW “AI factory” in Finland – Nebius set out plans to expand its presence in Finland with a new 310MW facility. Delivery expected as early as 2027.
