Ares acquires 20% stake in Eni’s ren business for €2bn

Eni has entered into a definitive agreement with Alternative Credit funds for the sale of a 20% stake in Plenitude, Eni’s renewable energy subsidy, for approximately €2 billion (£1.71bn $2.3bn). The deal implies an enterprise value for Plenitude of over €12 billion.
