Denmark opens 2.8GW offshore wind tender amid legal threats

The Danish Energy Agency has officially opened tenders for three offshore wind areas totalling at least 2.8GW, marking the first use of Denmark’s new two-way, capability-based Contract for Difference (CfD) framework.
The tender covers the North Sea Mid, Hesselø, and North Sea South sites, together capable of supplying green electricity to around three million homes.
