South Korea prioritises public ownership in first 2025 offshore wind auction

South Korea has handed out nearly 700MW of offshore wind capacity in its latest auction, awarding all of it to public-led bidders while leaving private-led proposals empty-handed. The results highlight Seoul’s preference for local ownership and stronger supply-chain ties.
