Germany skips 2029 coal closure order as hard coal fleet runs 2.1GW below target

Germany's Bundesnetzagentur has determined that no coal-firing prohibition order will be required for target year 2029, marking the third consecutive year in which the regulator has not needed to mandate additional hard coal closures.
