EU launches €30bn AI gigafactory tender with November deadline, France and Germany with a headstart

The European Union has formally launched the tender hopes to procure seven “AI Gigafactories” backed by a €10 billion funding pot which is projected to unlock €20 billion in private investment. The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) was unveiled last year [2025] in the interest of digital sovereignty.
