MultisectorsPodcastFinancingPolicy & RegulationEsgRiskIn this week's episode of Energy Transition Today, we begin with all things offshore wind. From the stumbles of last year to the record success of UK's AR7 tender and what that means for offshore wind targets for 2026.
On to news, we breakdown financing for a host of technologies including solar, onshore wind and data centres.
Starting with the financial close for Aer Soléir's 250MW/4h battery storage in Italy and maincubes' €2.5bn refi+capex deal for data centres in Germany. The company managed to retain support from lenders such as NIBC as well as welcome new ones like UniCredit.
PAD RES secured PLN 637 million (€151.15m) in debt to refinance existing facilities on a 310MW solar portfolio in Poland. This deal further highlights Poland's position as one of Europe's established renewables markets.
Encavis kicked off the year with a €135 million debt package for a solar and wind portfolio in Spain and Blue Elephant more than doubled its onshore wind footprint in Germany with the acquisition of 381MW portfolio.
