UK launches £2.5bn fusion strategy

The UK government has published its 2026 Fusion Energy Strategy, committing over £2.5 billion (€2.89bn $3.32bn) in public funding across five years and formally renaming the STEP delivery vehicle, UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKIFS), as UK Fusion Energy.
