In this week's episode of Energy Transition Today, we kick off with the ongoing pummelling of the US offshore wind sector with the Trump administration taking aim at Ocean Wind's 2.4GW proposal and Avangrid's 1.9GW plan both set to be located off the coast of Massachusetts.

We also delve into US Government's justification for the stop works order on Orsted's advanced Revolution wind farm and the funding withdrawal for port upgrades that would have facilitated offshore wind build out.

On to positive offshore wind news with the semi-successful conclusion of South Korea's latest tender and planning permit for a 1.5GW project in UK's Irish Sea.

In the second half of the podcast, we go over France's plan to build a gold hydrogen industry, Shell's withdrawal from a Dutch bioenergy project,  CIP's bet on biogas plant in Finland, and end on the proposal to use aging coal and gas plant as potential sites for the buildout of AI data centres.
