Northland Power and ESB JV submit application for 900MW Scottish offshore wind farm

Spiorad na Mara Limited, the Northland Power and ESB joint venture, has submitted a Section 36 consent application to the Scottish Government for a 900MW fixed-bottom offshore wind farm off the Isle of Lewis, as grid connection risks stemming from the refusal of SSEN's Fanellan substation threaten to delay the project's early 2030s delivery target.
