European Commission clears €23bn Italian renewables CfD scheme

The European Commission has approved a €23 billion Italian state aid scheme to support up to 37.15GW of new renewable power capacity via 20 year two way contracts for difference, clearing a major CfD-backed expansion of wind, solar, hydropower and sewage gas projects across Italy.
