Established players to steer clear of 1.5GW UK offshore wind re-tender

The UK’s Crown Estate has re-launched the seabed tender for the 1.5GW Morgan offshore wind farm but, “the usual suspects” are expected to steer clear of the process for the beleaguered development, according to market sources. The rights for the fixed foundation development are back on the market after developer consortium – JERA Nex BP and EnBW – returned the project to the government in January [2026] having failed to secure a Contract for Difference (CfD) agreement.
