E.ON signs deal for OVO Energy as UK power market consolidates

E.ON has agreed to acquire the UK energy retail business of OVO Energy in a deal announced on 11 May 2026 that would create one of Britain’s largest household power suppliers, with completion targeted for the second half of 2026 subject to regulatory approval.
