France’s long-awaited 2025–2035 energy roadmap is once again on hold, trapped in the crossfire of parliamentary politics.
The Multiannual Energy Programme (PPE 3), the central planning document that will set the country’s power mix for the next decade, was meant to be published in 2023, and has since been repeatedly delayed.
The roadmap is now inching toward publication – at least on paper. Prime Minister François Bayrou insists the PPE 3 will be unveiled before the end of summer, after “necessary discussions and consultations” with parliamentary groups. For industry and investors, that promise comes after two years of slippage and mounting frustration.
