Aquila Clean Energy EMEA has secured about €26 million in bilateral project debt from ING Deutschland to finance its 56MW/112MWh Project Wetzen standalone battery energy storage system in Lower Saxony, Germany, marking one of the country’s earliest fully merchant BESS financings.
